100% free for WAC 8th-12th-grade students, with costs fully covered by WAC.
Course Details
WAC is excited to partner with Learning Brave to offer current WAC 8th–12th grade students a five-day, four-night retreat focused on character, leadership, and personal growth through hands-on adventure experiences.
This immersive experience brings together students and mentors in a supportive, outdoor environment where students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, build confidence, and form meaningful connections with peers!
This retreat is 100% free for WAC 8th-12th-grade students, with costs fully covered by WAC.
What students will experience:

Face-to-face time with WAC mentors they already know and trust

Opportunities to build real friendships with over 100 fellow students

Physical activities designed to foster resilience and confidence

Leadership, communication, and teamwork skill-building

Purposeful time in Colorado’s natural beauty at Glacier View Ranch
Activities may include:
Climbing, Ropes Course, Hiking, Team Building, Dance Lessons, Rappelling, Archery, Leadership & Personal Development, Talent Night, Journaling & Reflection, Formal Dance, Service Opportunities

Registration Requirements:
Students must be able to:

Participate safely and independently in activities

Engage without continual emotional or behavioral support

Be passing with a 2.5 GPA or receive a leadership mentor recommendation

Demonstrate respect and cooperation

Remain free of active suspension or disciplinary action
-
Regulate fear, frustration, and anxiety during challenging activities
