Confirm Eligibility
If you are enrolling your student part-time, you do not need to submit an application. You may register for courses directly! To get started, confirm your student's eligibility by reviewing the following:
-
Enrollment Requirements
To be eligible for our statewide HSE program, students must take 2-3 classes per semester, with one of those classes being a core course.
For Williamsburg Academy of Colorado to pay your student’s tuition, Williamsburg must be your child’s only state-funded curriculum provider.
Note: Students cannot switch between full-time and part-time during the school year, and all course registrations must be approved by our Academic Counselor.
-
Age Limitations
Any Colorado student who is entering grades 6-12 for the upcoming school year is eligible to enroll in the HSE program.
Note: The maximum recommended age to enroll is 18.
-
Geographic Limitations
Any student in grades 6-12 who lives in the state of Colorado is eligible to enroll in the HSE program. You will need to provide proof of residency after you register your student for courses.
-
Immunization Requirements
Part-time students who plan to attend in-person events must provide proof of immunizations (unless you have a formally documented exception for medical, religious, or personal reasons).
For a complete list of immunizations required by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, please review this page on School Immunization Requirements.
See “Child’s Proof of Immunization” for exemption information below.

Moving from Part-Time Status to Full-Time
Students may not move from part-time to full-time during the school year.
Part-time students must meet with our Academic Counselor prior to switching to full-time enrollment:
- The Academic Counselor will determine if your student has the ability to meet graduation requirements
- The Academic Counselor will determine if the credits for homeschool courses will be accepted as part of the graduation plan. The student must demonstrate competency in math and language arts using the NWEA MAP assessment for courses not taken in an accredited school.
-
Moving from Full-Time Status to Part-Time
Students may not move from full-time to part-time during the school year.
When a student moves from full-time (4 or more courses) to part-time status (2-3 classes), the parent becomes responsible for homeschooling or monitoring academic progress.
Williamsburg Learning becomes the curriculum provider for the student.
