Expedition Readiness
For students planning to participate in expeditions, readiness standards are in place to support safety and success. Students should be prepared to navigate outdoor environments, participate appropriately in group settings, and maintain consistent attendance throughout the semester.
Adventures Foundations
(Asynchronous)
A flexible course designed for students to complete meaningful, real-world experiences on their own, with friends, or with family.
This option is ideal for students who:
- Do not live near an Adventures location
- Need a more flexible schedule
- Prefer independent or family-based experiences
In Adventures Foundations, students take an active role in designing and completing experiences that support their growth. These may include outdoor activities, service projects, physical challenges, leadership experiences, or skill-building opportunities in their local community.
Students will document and reflect on their experiences throughout the course, helping them build awareness, responsibility, and confidence as they connect what they are doing to what they are learning.
- Offered as a P.E. credit in the fall semester
- Offered as an elective credit in the winter semester
- Open to all students, regardless of location
Adventures Foundations provides a structured and meaningful path for students to stay engaged in real-world learning while earning credit toward graduation.
