California or Alaska Families – Flexible Payment Options
Installment Payments
If you are in California or Alaska and you plan for your student to take enough Williamsburg Courses to exceed your state funding allotment, you can spread out the total cost of your student’s remaining tuition with a series of equal monthly payments. You can extend your payment plan through the last month of the last semester for which you are registering.
(For example, if you register in April for the the following fall and winter semesters, you can spread your payments up to 14 months (April of the current year through May of the following year). On the other hand, if you only register for the fall semester, you can only spread your payments over nine months because the fall semester ends in December.)
If you come back later and register for additional classes, you will have the option to erase your old payment schedule and create a new one that includes your existing and new enrollments. There is no additional cost for monthly payments, as long as you pay on time.
Multiple Payment Methods
Using a credit or debit card, you can pay any remaining balance in full or create a monthly payment schedule. Your first payment will be charged at the time of registration. If you select a monthly payment plan, you can choose the day of the month on which subsequent monthly payments will be automatically charged.
Payment by check is due in full within 10 calendar days of your date of registration.
Satisfaction Guarantee
All courses come with a 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee (effective within 28 calendar days of the first day of the semester). We’ll issue a full refund for dissatisfied students within the guarantee period so you can make sure we’re the right fit. (No refunds will be issued after the 28-day period.)
Late or Missed Payments
If a payment is declined because of insufficient funds, an expired card, an incorrect address, or for any other reason, our system will alert you via email and add a $25 administration fee per declined transaction to your balance. If you contact us within 5 business days to resolve the declined payment, we will remove the $25 fee.

Enroll With Your Partner Organization
Once you’ve selected a partner organization, you’ll need to enroll your child with them first before coming back to register for Williamsburg classes. Please follow the instructions on your partner organization’s website to complete their enrollment process.
-
Do I need approval or funding before I can sign up for classes?
Although most partner schools provide funding for any Williamsburg courses, some have a few restrictions. Total funding can also vary between our partners in Alaska and California. To avoid any surprises, we recommend confirming with your partner organization’s academic counselor to ensure they will fund all of your student’s desired courses.
Once you receive approval for your student’s desired courses, you do not have to wait for funding before registering. We will invoice your partner organization directly. We encourage you to register for both fall and winter semesters ASAP to avoid losing out on the ideal schedule for your student.
-
Is my child a student at Williamsburg or our partner organization?
When your student enrolls at a partner organization and receives funding to pay for Williamsburg courses, they are officially considered a student of that partner school or district (not Williamsburg). The partner organization through which your student enrolls is also known as their “school of record.”
If your student intends to graduate, this also means they will graduate from their school of record. Because of this, you’ll need to ensure your student’s selected courses align with that school’s graduation requirements.
-
Who provides school counselor information for college applications?
If your student’s college applications require information from a school counselor, they should request this from a counselor at their partner organization (i.e. their school of record, which is the school that will issue their diploma).
-
Can Williamsburg mentors provide letters of recommendation?
Yes, unless the scholarship or college application specifies that the letter must come from a teacher at the school from which the student is officially graduating. We are happy to provide letters of recommendation whenever we can!
