Last week at Williamsburg, we celebrated Spirit Week. For each day of the week, our outstanding student body leadership chose a theme that students used to create all sorts of fun costumes to wear to class. I loved seeing the creativity and excitement evident in each of the costumes I saw on my Zoom screen. Spirit Week is one of my favorite weeks in the academic calendar.
I am so grateful to be associated with an educational philosophy that embraces creativity, passion, and imagination within students, traits that are sometimes overlooked or only seen as needed by artists and poets. In addition to pursuing academic rigor, Williamsburg students are encouraged to seek their unique passions, interests, and creative pursuits.
It inspires me to know that there is such a depth of talent and ability within our students. They really do bring hope for the future.
