Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get into a Division I or Division II school by attending Williamsburg?
Yes! Because we are NCAA-accredited, you can use our live courses to gain eligibility to play sports at a Division I or II school.
What is the process for gaining NCAA eligibility?
To compete at a Division I or Division II school, you’ll need to create an account at the NCAA Eligibility Center (preferably during your sophomore or junior year, although it can be done earlier or later than that). From there, you’ll need to fulfill the requirements for your chosen division. See the full requirments for Division I here and Division II here.
Which Williamsburg courses are NCAA-approved?
The NCAA has approved the live versions of all of our core courses. Self-paced courses do not count towards NCAA eligibility.
Can I gain NCAA eligbility if I am taking Williamsburg courses through another school?
Not unless your other school is NCAA-accredited itself. Our NCAA accreditation applies only for students who have Williamsburg Academy as the school of record on their transcript. So, if you are taking Williamsburg courses through another school, your eligibility depends on whether that school is NCAA-accredited and lists our courses on its approved course list.
Where can I go if I have more questions?
