Nurturing Your Student's Curiosity and Confidence


Our project-based middle school courses connect learning to the real world, while giving your student the freedom to explore, create, and have fun! With the guidance of supportive mentors, students build self-discipline, emotional intelligence, and confidence, laying a foundation for high school and beyond.

STEM Icon
STEM Program

Strong STEM understanding grows as your student channels their natural curiosity into discovery that builds confidence, real-world problem-solving skills, and a love of seeing how science shapes everyday life.

Note: For STEM students in 6th and 7th grade we offer a combined, rotating two-year curriculum in which students complete the A/B courses one year and the C/D courses the next.

Math Program

Many students struggle to feel confident with math, and our Math Program supports them in recognizing patterns, making sense of numbers in everyday life, and developing the mindset needed to approach new challenges with ease.

New for 2025-26, we’re transforming the way students learn math with Derivita, an interactive platform that provides instant, step-by-step feedback. Derivita gives students smarter practice and helps mentors identify strengths, struggles, and skill gaps in real time—so every student can get the support they need to grow.

In live math courses, students meet four times per week with a certified teacher—what we call a mentor—who leads them through simulations and modeling workshops that reveal the meaning and beauty behind the math. Mentors also guide hands-on problem-solving sessions that help students build fluency and confidence using Derivita. For students in 8th grade (Intro to HS Math), we also offer a self-paced option supported by mentor office hours.

Middle school students are at a key moment to explore what they enjoy and begin shaping future interests. Our electives program supports that growth through hands-on courses such as photography, life readiness, typing, and optional for-credit world language study for independent students. Each elective helps students build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and enter high school with greater confidence and direction.

Humanities Program

Great stories reveal how your student can grow into a thoughtful, confident communicator as they explore the human story through immersive projects, classic literature, and rich global experiences.

 

Plus In-Person Adventure Courses in Arizona, Colorado, and Utah!
