Williamsburg Parent Update
May 15, 2026
Dear Families,
What a year it has been! As we cross the finish line together, I want to take a moment to express how grateful we are for your partnership and support throughout this school year. The effort, perseverance, and growth we have seen in your students has been nothing short of remarkable, and none of it would be possible without you.
These final days matter. Encourage your student to finish with intention, give their best, and take pride in how far they have come. They have worked hard to get here, and it shows.
As summer break begins, carry this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt with you: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Thank you for an incredible year. We cannot wait to see what your students accomplish in the year ahead. Have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely,
Christy Hall
Director, Williamsburg Academy of Utah

Dear Parents,
With Teacher Appreciation Week approaching, we want to recognize something we should say more often—our Mentors are truly exceptional.
At Williamsburg Academy of Utah (WAU), Mentors do far more than deliver content. They guide, challenge, and encourage your student while investing in their growth. Whether offering thoughtful feedback, leading meaningful discussions, or showing up with consistency and care, they shape the daily experience of our students in lasting ways. As someone married to a Math Mentor, I have personally witnessed the hours of tutoring, mentoring, and care she gives her students.
What makes our Mentors remarkable is their ability to balance high expectations with real support. They meet students where they are, then help them go further than they thought possible. We are deeply grateful for the role they play in building not just strong learners, but confident, capable young people. Our Mentors truly are the best.
Sincerely,
John Forsythe
Headmaster, Williamsburg Academy

April 3, 2026
Hey Parents,
Spring is a wonderful time of year, filled with new life, fresh energy, and exciting possibilities. Although my hay fever returns each year, I still enjoy watching plants bloom and the grass change from winter brown to green. As we see this season of growth unfold, it’s a great reminder for students to stay motivated and finish strong.
As April begins, state testing and end-of-year deadlines are quickly approaching. The final day for your student to submit assignments is Friday, May 22. To stay on track, students are encouraged to attend Mentor Office Hours and Study Labs for additional support.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We're here to support you and your student as they complete their work and prepare for the end of the school year.
Best Regards,

Hey Parents,
Can you believe we are almost halfway through the semester? The midterm deadline is next Friday, March 13, at 5:00 PM MT, so this is a great time for students to stay focused and make sure they are on track with their coursework.
If you have not checked your student’s progress in the past week, I encourage you to take a few minutes to do so. If there are any concerns, students should connect with their mentors, attend office hours, participate in study labs, or reach out to Student Support for tutoring. These resources can help students stay on pace and meet the midterm deadline.
After midterms, students will enjoy Spring Break from March 16th-20th. During that week, there will be no live online courses, giving students time to rest and recharge before the second half of the semester begins.
Best Regards,
John Forsythe

February 6, 2026
Dear Williamsburg Academy Parents,
February is a great time for students because the whirlwind of a new semester has finally calmed down! Classes are no longer brand-new, routines are starting to feel more manageable, and expectations are clearer. It’s also when students begin to recognize where they may need a little extra support—and that awareness is a strength, not a setback.
This is the perfect time to take advantage of mentor office hours, study labs, and individual tutoring, while also leaning on parents, mentors, and family members for encouragement and guidance. With the pressure of the “first weeks” behind them, students can focus on steady progress, ask questions with confidence, and build habits that support long-term success.
Registration for the fall semester also begins on February 17, which means we’re already looking ahead to the next school year! We will have a Registration Help Session via Zoom on Thursday, February 12, at 6:00 PM MT to answer questions and offer help. This is an exciting opportunity for students and families to plan thoughtfully, explore course options, and set goals for continued growth. A little planning now can go a long way toward a smooth and successful start in the fall.
Best Regards,
John Forsythe
Headmaster, Williamsburg Academy
