Even though we are an online school, Williamsburg Academy has fixed semester start and end dates for both live and self-paced courses. This framework creates an academic schedule with the feeling of a brick and mortar school, but with all of the advantages of learning online. All of the semester and registration dates are listed on our Academic Calendar to help you plan out your schedule.
Middle School and High School Study Skills classes are offered during the summer to prepare incoming students for their journey through Williamsburg Academy. We highly recommend every student participate in these courses.
Williamsburg’s Middle School (Grades 6-8) Humanities, STEM, Writing, and elective courses are offered live both fall and winter semesters. Math is offered as a self-paced course for fall, winter, and summer semesters. We also offer elective courses during the summer for Middle Schoolers.
In general, High School (Grades 9-12) math and science courses are offered in live and self-paced formats. Courses in the PE & Health, Independent Fine Arts, and Independent Electives are self-paced courses that are due at the end of the semester. All other courses are offered live to encourage discussion and receive mentoring.
