Throughout the middle school Leadership journey we have been invited to develop a higher vision for life, and to practice building strong moral character. Our cumulative growth in Leadership now enables us to develop an outlook of abundance that enriches life and opens doors of opportunity for great and unique experiences. In this final middle school Leadership course, we actively practice an attitude of abundance to open our eyes to life’s great bounty. Through projects and class discussions, we will experience the cultivation of gratitude, the inherent joy of serving others, and the privilege of being the sower of seeds of good in the world. In addition to these experiences, we will prepare for students’ transition to high school with an attitude of faith and hope that will help them begin the next phase of life with a bright and abundant view. In Leadership & Abundance we apply the view of Thoreau:
“…I wished to live deliberately… and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life…”
