Why Take This Course?

Students will use literature to better understand who we are in American Literature A – Honors.

Additionally, American literature contains some of the most influential and persuasive rhetoric the world has ever seen. By analyzing the technical aspects of famous American poetry, essays, short stories and novels, we learn how to improve our own rhetoric in these same genres.

Students who diligently study great works of American literature will gain a deeper sense of the human condition, the American character and their own lives. They will also be more prepared to influence each of these in the future.
