Sophomore courses challenge students to study more and ask deeper questions.

In your Freshman year, you learned to lead yourself and your own education online and at home. In your Sophomore year, you will learn to ask deeper questions about who you are as a person, and you will begin exploring your ability to lead others. In U.S. History, you will learn about how America’s history has influenced who you are, and your American Literature course will develop the same theme through the lens of literature. You will continue the practice of studying math and science for an hour each school day, and in biology, you will learn about how your life fits into a much larger network of living things. In Social Leadership, you will identify the key relationships in your life, and learn how to improve them. You will also learn to recognize and grow your ability to influence others in positive ways, and you will learn how you are perceived by friends and family. Through your online sophomore classes this year, you will have ample opportunities to leave your comfort zone, discover who you really are, and practice your leadership skills while serving others. In short, you will become more sophos, or wise.
